MD Gulzar, a truck driver hailing from Jharkhand, has spent years crisscrossing the Indore-Assam route. His routine, like that of many drivers, left little room for thinking about his health. For Gulzar, health checks were never part of his life, not because of neglect but simply because access was out of reach. His long journeys took him through highways that lacked basic medical services, let alone a full health check-up.
That changed when he arrived at the Project Abhay camp in Indore. This camp offered something unfamiliar—comprehensive health checks in one convenient location, right along the route he drove regularly. It was the first time MD Gulzar had experienced such care, and the thoroughness of the process left a lasting impression on him. From eye exams to general health screenings, he realized how much he had overlooked in terms of personal well-being.

With a renewed sense of responsibility, Gulzar promised himself that he would take his health seriously from now on, ensuring regular checks whenever possible.
His story underscores how Project Abhay’s camps bridge the healthcare gap for truck drivers, bringing vital services to those who would otherwise go without. For MD Gulzar, it was a wake-up call—a promise to himself and his family to maintain better health going forward.
